  Because it is further away from central Cronulla, Oak Park can often be less crowded than other seaside parks in Cronulla. Great ocean vistas from a park well above sea level. Plenty of flat grassy areas to spread out, not a lot of shady spots. Very small sandy beach and tidal rock pool which is ideal for safe family swimming. Can be a tightly packed crowd in summer. Ample nearby free on-street parking.

  All along this part of the coast is beautiful. And the only coastline accessible by suburban train service

  Diving site: Oak Park: Brilliant dive site for beginners and experienced divers alike. The site is extensive (with the first reef providing more than most divers can handle) and has many areas to explore to the north, south, east and further to the northeast. The biota and fish life gets better the further you get away from the shore. The range of reefs is extensive. See my other posts on Panaramio and Wannadive websites.
